THE ECOLINK YOUTH PROGRAM AND THE ECOLINK YOUTH NETWORK
The ECOLINK Youth Network or EYNet is a consortium of youth organizations in southern Philippines that commonly seek to empower the young citizens’ role in national development. The EYNet envisions a Filipino youth that is conscious and actively involved in seeking the ways to peace and sustainable development in Mindanao.

Junior Graft Watch Strengthening
The Junior Graft Watch is an effective mechanism that empowers the Filipino youth and children to become agents of social change. Through the JGW, children and youth are taught in documenting, reporting and investigating corruption issues within and outside their schools and communities. Likewise, they undergo values orientation on the culture of corruption and the ways to combat it.
The project is implemented in partnership with the DepEd- Oroquieta Division and the City Government of Oroquieta and the Office of the Ombudsman Mindanao.
One of the measurement of successes achieved by the project is the involvement of the youth and children in the LGU Vehicle Monitoring Project where majority of the thousands of reports received by ECOLINK are coming from them. Also, several LGU officials who are used to send their children to school using LGU Vehicles are apprehended and have received appropriate sanctions already.
The most important success the JGW has achieved perhaps is the Investigation and Dismissal of a School Principal who has been reportedly abusing her students physically and emotionally.
The Mindanao Youth Fund
A breakthrough in local philanthropic efforts, the Mindanao Youth Fund is ECOLINK's greatest contribution to youth empowerment. The MYF is born out of the fact that there are no resources available for youth groups and youth-oriented projects in the country.
The MYF is a small grants program of the ECOLINK. It provides small one-time grants to emerging youth organizations in Southern Philippines whose activities are directed towards the same direction as the goals of ECOLINK. This means that for a project to quality, it must be geared towards environmental conservation and sustainable development, curbing corruption and promoting transparency in public office, women empowerment, human rights protection and democratization.
On 2006, the ECOLINK Youth Network has been able to raise 100,000 pesos as an initial grant funds. By December 2007, total funds raised has already reached 1.3 million pesos. On April 2008, the MYF Fund has reached 2 million and around 80% of which have already been disbursed to grantees. Some programs of the ECOLINK Youth Network have also been subsidized by the MYF.
